In an air-conditioned room, insulation materials are tested. Preliminary tests were used to determine the load with which the samples are subjected here. Dial gauges attached to the setup measure the long-term creep behaviour. Both deformation under compression and shear deformation are recorded. Most samples are tested for about 14,000 hours or longer.
